It’s been just over a year and half since I moved into my house and I’m gradually trying to decorate each room. Now that I’ve finished the open plan living space downstairs, apart from purchasing a bookcase and emptying the last two boxes (I know, surely I don’t need whats in those boxes if I haven’t been in them for well over a year). I’m now ready to think about decorating the next room, the master bedroom.
In the master bedroom I would love to lift the carpet as hidden underneath are beautiful white wooden floorboards that just need a lick of paint to bring them back to life. Once I have done that I would love to replace the bedroom furniture. When I moved in I up-cycled my old Ikea furniture which is badly needing replaced.
I’ve been searching for ideas on Pinterest and local furniture stores in Glasgow, particularly BoConcept and I’m currently lusting over just about everything in BoConcept. I would love to go for a white and grey colour scheme with a Scandinavian feel and BoConcept have just what I’m looking for.
The Lugona bed frame with a grey fabric headboard would work as the perfect center piece of the room. I can already imagine myself spending cosy winter nights tucked up in bed watching box sets. As well as the bed, I would also love the matching Lungona set of drawers. I love how it has two sides which can be split into his and hers so me and my other half can have a side each. It is quite a pricey set of drawers but think of it for two for the price of one.
Now comes the fun bit, lets add some accessories. A cosy rug so when I step out of bed in the morning my feet don’t have to brave the wooden floors, a vase so I can display some fresh blooms, a super stylish clock and some candles to create that cosy Scandinavian feel. Now, I better get saving so I can have everything on my wishlist.
