We don’t get much sun here in Scotland so my gorgeous new swimsuit from UK Swimwear will have to wait until my holiday to Lake Garda in July before it gets a proper outing. However that’s not stopped me planning my holiday wardrobe so I can share this gorgeous one piece with you guys.

I choose the Miraclesuit Must Have Barcelona Swimsuit in Electric Blue. I absolutely love the style of this swimsuit and was drawn to electric blue as soon as spotted it online. It’s strapless, which is great for avoiding tan lines but it also comes with straps which can be attached on to the swimsuit to give you more support if needed. Now the best thing about this swimsuit, it can make you look 10lbs lighter in 10 seconds as it is made to shape and firm the body by lifting your bust, shaping your bum and slimming your waist. Good news for me as I plan to stuff my face with pizza and pasta while holidaying in Italy.

This swimsuit will also be lovely to wear throughout the day. I can team it with my trusty vintage Levi cut offs, (that I take on holiday every year) my new sandals from New Look and my Love Moschino Sunglasess from Specsavers.  So if I need to go from poolside to lunch in a hurry this outfit is perfect.

If like me, you have been on the hunt for the perfect swimsuit or bikini for a while then UK Swimwear have a fabulous choice with brands such as Forever Unique, Freya, Gossard and many more. They have a huge range to choose from including accessories, beach bags and sun dresses so you certainly won’t stuck for choice.

Today I’m taking you on a little Spring adventure around my city in collaboration with Boohoo.com

I’m pretty biased but I think Glasgow is an amazing city. It’s got everything you could want from a big city, a buzzing music scene, trendy bars and restaurants, the best shopping outside of London, numerous museums and plenty of green space.

Last Saturday my sister and I had such a fun afternoon reminding our-self’s just how great a city Glasgow is. For our afternoon adventure I wore my new tropical print *playsuit from Boohoo.com they have a great selection of playsuits and jumpsuits at the moment. The print on this playsuit is perfect for the Summer but until it gets a little warmer in Glasgow I teamed it with my black biker jacket, tights and ankle boots.

We started our afternoon with the Afternoon Tea Experience at Cup Tea Lounge where we were treated to a cake stand filled with savory bites, a selection of cakes and freshly baked scones. It also included unlimited pots of tea from their extensive tea menu with more teas than you can imagine. As I’m a bit of a tea jenny this was the most enjoyable part of the experience and I swear me and my sister must have drank about 10 cups of tea each. We got through 3 pots of teas trying the Chocolate Chilli Explotion, Masala Chai  and the Chocolate Orange & Black Pepper.

We then headed to The Lighthouse to take in the views at the top of the tower and to walk off our cakes and scones of course. The Lighthouse is Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture. It’s free admission and if you climb the Helical Staircase you will find the best view of the city at the top.

After climbing all those stairs we were a little thirsty so headed over to Gin71 to taste a few of the many types of Gins they have to offer. Gin71 has Glasgow’s largest selection of Gins, home made tonics and cocktails. They even offer Gin tasting sessions. The Gins come as doubles as standard so after a few Gins it was time to head home.

I have recently become a lover of watches again as I love a bit arm candy to accessorize my outfit. So I’ve been dying to share with new my new watch from Welly Merck.

What drew me to Welly Merck (besides the beautiful watches) was the story behind the brand. It’s like something from a fairy tale.

Merck an American boy from a steel artisan family with a passion for traveling and iron craft was on a trip to Italy. During this trip, Merck met Welly, a girl from a traditional watch making family. It was love at first sight for the two of them but unfortunately Merck had to return to America. Although they were miles apart, their love continued to grow stronger and they eventually overcame their difficulties and married in Switzerland where they created Welly Merck.

Welly Merck creates timeless and fashionable luxury watches at affordable prices. They offer a wide range of men and ladies watches with different straps to choose from including mesh, leather and fabric.

I choose the Classic Zurich with the rose gold mesh strap and white face (it also comes with a black face). I have to admit, I was slightly apprehensive about the quality of the watch before it arrived as I had only seen it online but when it did arrive all my worries disappeared as the watch is beautifully made and quality is plain to see. It’s perfect for almost every occasion and is such a beautiful watch to wear. The strap in interchangeable which is great if I fancy a change and the glass is sapphire crystal which ensures the hardness and durability of the watch. I’m so pleased with my choice.

Spring may be approaching but it still feels very much like Winter here in Glasgow and I always feel stuck in a style rut this time of year. I have exhausted my Winter wardrobe and I’m sick of the sight of my Winter clothes but it’s still too cold to invest in any new Spring/Summer pieces. So what do you buy? A pair of statement boots of course.  They will update your look while still keeping you warm and as we have such terrible Summers here in Scotland I’m sure these will be worn in the Summer as well as Spring.

I spotted these beautiful *blue ruffel shoe boots at the Next perfect shoe event a few weeks ago. Myself and group of other local bloggers were lucky enough to be invited along to find our perfect pair of shoes at Next’s, Braehead store where they have a huge shoe department.

Next really have upped their game this season as there are so many beautiful pairs to choose from. From this seasons must have loafer to the embroidered trend, there really is something for everyone. And the best thing about Next – the quality and affordability. You can check the full shoe range here.

Now lets talk about these amazing embroidered boots from New Look. I have been loving the embroidered trend for a while now and as I’m unsure how long it will be around I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a pair of embroidered boots but New Look shoes are so affordable and always have the most up to date styles so if they go out of style next season, at least you haven’t spend a fortune.

How do you update your Spring/Summer wardrobe?

I like to think I know what colours suit me and had never really given it much thought to be honest, until I attended the Colour Elements blogger event in Castle Galleries.  The event opened my eyes to how important wearing the right colours can be.

“Colour Elements was created to empower you through colour to make your best clothing purchase”.
Wearing the wrong colours can really have a negative effect on how you look and feel and can even create shadows on your face making you look tired, so it’s very important to get it right. Not only will wearing the right colours make you look good and feel better, it will also help the environment as a lot of unworn clothes end up in landfill.

At the event we were lucky enough to have a 10 minute consultation with Karen the director of Colour Elements and given our colour ID. There are four elements earth, fire, air and water and each person can be described by one of these elements or a combination of two depending on complexion, hair and eye colour. My elements are air : fire and according to the app I should be wearing colours such as:

I would say I’m wearing the right colours 70% of the time but have realised there are certain colours I really should be avoiding.

As well as a consultation, we were treated to delicious cocktails from Sugar Dumplin, delicious pizzas and snacks from Zizzi and pampered by The Body Shop, who also treated us to this awesome goodie bag.

Now I know my colour ID, Colour Elements email me weekly with outfit ideas with colours that suit me and links to where I can purchase these items.

If you want to find out your element and save time when shopping you can do so via their website and download the app to see what colours suit your element.

Thanks to everyone involved and making it a great event.
